Genesis Whitmore, who is a terribly kind person, is encouraging me in my slow re-emergence and this weekend gave me some of the same art supplies she uses — namely, some cards made out of mat board and watercolor paper (very heavy, with a deep tooth, compared to what I normally use) and some real Japanese brush pens, among other things.
The heavy art board is great for Prisma markers — it lets them blend and become watercolor markers! It is…er…bad for my favored medium, colored pencils, and I am, alas, somewhat abysmal with brush markers at the moment. I don’t think I have much of a future as a Japanese brush artist, however much this little fellow enjoyed being drawn. 🙂
